I checked out the webcams yesterday at CoastalWatch.com to see the crowded beaches with all the people celebrating. It was Sunday evening for me but I still joined in with the celebrations via webcam.

I love the internet!!!

My pen pal friend said she is sending me some little Australia Day treats. I sent her some Canada Day items and they didn’t arrive until a month later because I sent it by ground. It’s amazing how far away you realize you are when you send something through traditional mail. But on the internet it’s instant. It makes me feel like Australia isn’t so far away but mail a letter and I feel the exact opposite!

Hope everyone had a fantastic Australia Day. It’s just the beginning of Monday the 26th over here so I’m celebrating at my desk at work.

Next year I’ll celebrate for real.
